Great Lakes Equine Wellness Center's internal medicine department
cares for horses with complex problems associated with neurology,
cardiology, neonatology (foals), gastroenterology, the respiratory
system, and critical care medicine. We provide outpatient services
for horses with less complex conditions, and hospitalization services
for horses that require observation during treatment or 24-hour
critical care. This service utilizes advanced diagnostic techniques
including videoendoscopy, ultrasonographic examination, gastroscopy
and radiology.
GLEWC is fully equipped
to deliver intravenous fluid therapy and any other medical care
necessary, including overnight monitoring, if necessary.
